01Why it exists

Film is a way of working.

Analog film is not an effect added afterwards. It asks for preparation, precision and respect for the image. In return, it creates presence, texture and a particular concentration on set.

Analog Film Service grew out of the experience Rebel Pictures and Jesper Tønnes built through our own analog productions. We created it to make choosing film easier, share the knowledge and help keep the craft alive.

02Services

From idea to finished film.

Some people arrive with a finished script. Others bring a song, a mood or a single image. We can join where the project needs us, or take responsibility for the entire process.

07FAQ

Before you load the camera.

Is analog film much more expensive?

Not automatically. Cost depends on format, shooting ratio and workflow. Early choices matter, so we make a realistic plan before production.

Do we need a finished concept?

No. A song, mood, image or ambition is enough to begin.

Can we rent only the camera?

Yes. Rental can stand alone, or we can support selected parts of the process.

Can film and digital be combined?

Absolutely. We can plan the formats to work together rather than imitate each other.

Do you handle stock, lab and scanning?

Yes. We can coordinate stock, processing, scanning and post-production.

Can Super 8 be used professionally?

Yes, when its limitations and character are considered from the beginning.

Have an idea that should be shot on film?

It does not need to be finished. Tell us what you are considering, and we will help find the right format and process.
