CUT: Four formats, one film

CUT is now available online: a flamenco dance film built around the meeting between one performer and four physical film formats.

The film follows Selene Muñoz as she enters a studio surrounded by cameras, lights and people. Super 8, Super 16, 35mm and 65mm observe the same performance from different perspectives. The formats are not simply a technical demonstration; they become part of a story about gaze, pressure and the frames attempting to contain her.

Created with more than 60 film professionals and in collaboration with Kodak, FilmGear, ARRI Rental and Kameraudlejningen, CUT became an ambitious independent production. Four cameras rolled at the exact same moment. Each film gauge recorded movement, texture and light differently. Watch the film, then go behind the scenes to see how the experiment was assembled.
